Most people ranted about the third installment of the Hobbit trilogy already, but I haven't. Seeing as I just got my hands on a copy of the extended soundtrack for the movie, I figured this was as good a time as any to make a few comments. In a strange coincidence BotFA comes out on Blu-Ray today... so, yeah... I'm not going comment on all the things that I thought were wrong with the film, of which there were many. I really just have one thing I'm going to comment on, the lack of the titular Hobbit. Bilbo Baggins seemed to get washed out of the film by the drama of the dwarfs, elves, and people of Lake-Town. Today started out just like any other Friday: I dragged myself out of bed early and trudged through the snow to get to my 8:30am tutorial. Then did some work and went to a one lecture at 11:30am, and took about half an hour for lunch. Then I came back to my computer and checked Twitter. My Twitter feed had some 35 or 40 tweets which were "new." My thought was something along the lines of  Geez, Twitter, what's your beef?  so I refreshed the page to see what nonsense people wer going on about this time. The first thing I saw was "RIP Leonard Nimoy."  What?  I scrolled down, more tweets of the same nature. Plus a solid half of the trending top
